These terms cover how you use this website and what happens when you send us an enquiry. Hire and styling bookings have their own terms, which we confirm in writing with your quote.
About these terms
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. “We” and “us” mean Shimmer & Shine Events.
Enquiries are not bookings
Sending an enquiry, or downloading or copying your event brief, does not reserve a date, hold any items or create a contract. A booking is only confirmed when we agree it with you in writing and any deposit or payment we ask for is received. Availability and prices can change until then.
Quotes, hire and styling terms
Any quote we give will set out what is included, the price, delivery or pick-up arrangements, and conditions such as bonds, damage and cancellation. Those terms apply to your booking. Sizes, measurements and product images on this site are a guide only and may vary slightly.
Using the website
You agree to give accurate information in your enquiry and not to:
- send spam, false enquiries or anything unlawful, abusive or misleading
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems
- use automated tools to submit enquiries or copy the site
We may block access or delete enquiries that break these rules.
Our content
The logo, photos, text and design on this site belong to Shimmer & Shine Events or are used with permission. Photos show our previous events and are provided as inspiration; your event will be styled to your own brief. Please don’t copy or reuse our content without asking first.
Your information
How we collect and use your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Liability
We take care to keep this site accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will be error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using the website. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other law that can’t be excluded.
Links to other sites
This site links to our Facebook page and other third-party sites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
